PILOT'S GUIDE
COMPATIBILITY
Access is provided directly via the browser, without requiring any local installation. Compatibility with mobile devices, desktops, and touchscreens makes the entire environment suitable for multiple use contexts, ranging from specialized research to museum displays and educational activities. The user interface and layout have been designed with particular attention to usability and visual coherence.
RAPPRESENTAZIONE MULTIMODALE
The approach is based on spatial contextualisation of information and multi-modal representation of the illuminated manuscript, through:
- A knowledge graph, which condenses and schematises the semantic relations among the manuscripts elements, derived from the Illuminated Manuscripts general ontology;
- A 2D player using Mirador, an open-source IIIF viewer;
- A 3D player allowing exploration of multi-textured and multi-layered annotated models, implemented through the ATON framework (https://osiris.itabc.cnr.it/aton/).
